apEX, NBK, RpK, ZywOo & Happy to form French Super Team
Early reports have been dropped that former G2 superstars & other fresh CS:GO pros are in the later stages of forming a French superteam According to an article originally published via vpesports, goes on to state:
….It is in this context that we can tell you that all is not lost. Indeed, according to our information a new top level team is in creation.
This team would be led by a player who has decided to get into in game leading for some time now. If he had tested it a few times in the past, it is with G2 that he recently took the reins of a project and occupied this role, without success, but under very complicated conditions. Of course we are talking about Nathan “NBK” Schmitt. The latter would therefore be the brain behind the project and the leader of the squad.
The article then proceeds to list the “who’s who” of French Counterstrike Global Offensive, including:
Nathan “NBK” Schmitt
Dan “apEX” Madesclaire
Vincent “Happy” Cervoni
Cédric “RpK” Guipouy
Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut
Philippe “faculty” Rodier (coach)
Although the reports are still yet to be confirmed the potential formation of such a team could throw a massive contender into a somewhat dwindling French CS:GO scene.
French CS:GO as it stands
Currently, it appears there are but three “primary” teams in the French scene worth mentioning, firstly G2 esports with the return of Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans & Édouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux to the roster results have been somewhat of a letdown, dropping to 25th in HLTV’s rankings around June 2018. However, we have seen a steady improvement since then, climbing to 11th place.
The 3DMAX Effect
The new French roster has shown some steady & somewhat promising results in recent times, beating teams such as NiP, Red Reserve and Virtus Pro, however, any sort of consistency within the team’s results remains to be seen.
LDLC – What can we say?
Somewhat of mismatch, ragtag group composed of former Misfits players Amanek & Devoduvek as well as to1nou, LOGAN & ALEX the team has been performing quite consistently in the lower tier brackets however nothing quite noteworthy that would put them on the level of many tier 1 or 2 teams.
Although the reports are still very early days, we here at CSGOBR are excited to see things come to fruition. Do you think that a new French superteam will form? let us know in the comments.
